Hello world!

Wow, what a day.  I woke up at 1:00 am with the chills.  3:00  to a kid coughing, 6:00 to the school calling and saying there was a 2 hour delay…YES I AM GOING TO SLEEP IN!  WHOO HOOOOOOOO! How awesome is this that I will get to make up for lost sleep last night?  What a great day for it to happen!

THen before I knew it, reality hit and Mya woke up 20 minutes earlier then she normally does!  WHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!  There went sleeping in.

After taking Mya to school, I stopped at the store on the way home to pick up some milk, tp, doritos and soda.  Came home, ate some lunch(Frozen Pioneer Womans lasagna, that I had made a while ago)mmmmmmmm!  Then had a few Doritos.  WHile eating doritos, I suffered a small injury, but one that I am sure does not just happen to anyone.  I crunched down on my chip and a piece of crumb somehow manage to make it into my eye.  How the hell does that happen?   Anyway no long term problems, I did get it back out.  Let me just say that it really burns to have a dorito lodged in your eye.

I then decided to make home made pepperoni rolls for dinner.  Terri, this part would be for you!  THough keep in mind that in no way do I compare to the Pioneer Woman.

pizza-dough-002once I got to the point of rolling out the dough, I realized this may not have been such a fantastic idea being that I was home alone with a 2 year old.  See that hand there trying to help out?

pizza-dough-009So after rolling the dough and trying to keep the 2 year away I managed to make the pizza rolls.  While I was getting them on the tray to bake………

pizza-dough-011Little Missy thought up the great idea to get a flour bath.  Just in time to get Mya from the bus.

I did get some good tasting rolls though

pizza-dough-017-copyEven if they dont look pretty!

Stay tuned!

THe recipe is a really quick and simple pizza crust that I got off http://www.allrecipes.com. It is where MOST of the things I make are from.

1 (.25 ounce active dry yeast)
    1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees)
    2 1/2 cups bread flour
    2 tbsp olive oil
    1 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 450 degree. In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy about 10 minutes.

Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest 5 minutes.

Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Trasfer crust to a lightly greased izza pan or bakers peel dusted with cornmeal. Bake 15-20 minutes.

I use regular flour. For the rolls I rolled it out like I would for a pizza and cut sections out. I only put pepperoni in mine, but cheese and sauce or whatever else I am sure would be great in it. THen I just rolled them up and baked on a greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
